Key Features of ASUS Ryzen 5 40 Series

All three ASUS Vivobook Go E1404 and E1504 models combine AMD Ryzen 5 40 processors with 8GB DDR5 RAM, SSD storage, FHD displays, and integrated AMD Radeon Graphics. Although the key hardware is similar across all three laptops, you get different screen sizes and storage options, which allows you to choose the best option depending on your individual needs.

1. Ryzen 5 40 Processor

The ASUS Vivobook Go series is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 40 Processor, which features 4 cores, 8 threads, 4MB cache, and a maximum boost clock of up to 4.3 GHz. This powerful processor provides you with the processing power for all forms of everyday tasks such as web browsing, document work, online classes, video calls, and multitasking in general. It also makes these laptops suitable for you if you need a reliable machine for regular work without stepping into a higher-performance laptop category.

2. 8GB DDR5 RAM

All three models come with 8GB DDR5 RAM, giving you enough memory for everyday workloads. Multiple tabs of the browser, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other lightweight software can be used without frequently changing the task you are working on. The performance provided by the combination of Ryzen 5 CPU and DDR5 RAM works well for general productivity and entertainment.

3. PCIe SSD Storage

As for the storage capacity, different models have differences between the three configurations of ASUS Vivobook Go. Thus, ASUS Vivobook Go E1404 can have either 256GB or 512GB of PCIe SSD storage, while E1504 features a 256GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. ASUS Vivobook Go E1404 Ryzen 5 40 with 512GB storage gives extra space for storing documents, images, applications, and other files, while 256GB will be enough for people using mostly cloud storage and those not requiring a lot of storage capacity.

4. Full HD Display

Display size of ASUS Ryzen 5 40 series depends on the type of product. Thus, the 14 inches Full HD screen is provided by Vivobook Go E1404, while E1504 comes with a larger 15.6 inches Full HD display. Both of these models offer a 1920 × 1080 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The displays also feature 250-nit brightness, 45% NTSC color coverage, and anti-glare panels, making them suited to everyday browsing, office work, studying, and media consumption.

5. AMD Radeon  Graphics

When it comes to graphics, the ASUS Vivobook Go models use integrated AMD Radeon  Graphics. This integrated GPU is designed for everyday graphical tasks, video playback, web content, alongside other general uses. While the graphics may seem low, do note that these laptops are primarily aimed at productivity and everyday computing rather than demanding gaming or intensive graphics workloads. That said, you can still play older games and use less demanding graphical tasks fairly well.

6. Backlit Keyboard and Magic Numpad

The keyboards of all the laptops available in the ASUS Ryzen 5 40 series are equipped with a backlit Chiclet keyboard with 1.4mm key travel. The E1404 configurations also feature a Magic Numpad, which can be useful when entering numbers or working with spreadsheets. The product specifications also indicate that fingerprint functionality is dependent on the specific model configuration.

7. Connectivity and Battery

The ASUS Ryzen 5 40 lineup also includes a useful selection of ports, including USB 2.0 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
